Gadra-bos

The Gadra forest is part of the Vroongronden. The name Gadra comes from the former farm that was privately owned until the fifties and now serves as a management farm of Staatsbosbeheer. The letters stand for Happiness Present Through Rich Labor. The forest is not that big but is known for its many oaks and in the autumn for the numerous mushrooms present. The Gadrabos is always open and accessible to everyone and a nice find your way walking route has been mapped out especially for the little ones among us. You can experience bigger adventures on the mountain bike route or in the adjacent climbing forest. The forest has large differences in height due to its location close to the dunes.
